“Sometimes you have to hack the machines…” It’s true. The beauty of a great denim is partly the result of a nice slub: that special breed of controlled chaos that creates denim fabrics with a naturally raw aesthetic. Since denim production became automated in the 1970’s, it’s far too easy to lose that roughness – the soul of denim. At Prosperity Textile, we’ve invested in a world-class ‘denim’ facility – but when we create denim, we create true-denim. That’s why when we programme our machines for efficiency – both in terms of speed and sustainability – we also go one step beyond, hacking them to create a contemporary take on the raw aesthetic of the past.
